Panther netters win one of three at tourney

ANITA — Panorama competed in the CAM Invitational Saturday, finishing 1-2 in the event to set their overall season record at 7-18.

The Panthers fell to AC/GC, 21-14 and 21-19 and by 26-24, 25-19 to Riverside, with Panorama a 15-21, 21-18, 15-12 winner over Paton-Churdan.

Brooke Halterman led the Panthers with a combined 21 kills and three blocks, with Nicole Rolfes and Erica Block both recording seven kills. Olivia Richey produced six kills and Kennedy Kuta four, with Carson Fisher adding three and Hannah Woodworth one. Fisher tallied two blocks and Kute and Rolfes one each.

Kuta had 43 assists and joined Rolfes in recording 11 digs, with Block leading the squad with 13 digs. Richey and Woodworth had nine digs apiece, with Fisher, Halterman and Payton Douglass each making four digs.

Richey served 25-of-28 with four aces, with Kuta 27-29-1, Woodworth 23-24-2 and Rolfes 11-14-2. Block was 10-12-1 behind the line, with Fisher 4-of-6.

Panorama hosts Earlham tonight (Tuesday) and Des Moines Christian Thursday before playing the Norm McCune Invitational at Woodward-Granger Saturday.
