About 60 first graders from the Perry Elementary School ventured forth with their teachers on last week’s cold Friday morning in order to entertain the residents of the Perry Health Care Center.

The facility’s residents gathered an hour before the arrival of the group in excited anticipation of the visit. The residents picked their favorite spots in order to see and hear the children.

The students sang several Christmas favorites to the delight of the residents, who particularly enjoyed the songs that included choreography. Each song was preceded by an introduction by a student from the group.

After the presentation, each student was given a Rice Crispy treat by the cheerful staff of the Perry Health Care Center, and residents and staff alike were favorably impressed by the orderly and polite manner displayed by the group.
