- A caller said his dog was missing. An officer responded and told the caller a dog matching his description was taken to the Perry Animal Holding Facility.
- A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. with a dog she caught running at large. An officer responded and transported the animal to the Perry Animal Holding Facility. The Humane Society of Perry was notified.
- Several callers reported “a loud noise on the west side of town.” An officer responded but “was not able to locate any problems.”
- A caller said “her 12-year-old son is refusing to get in the vehicle and is calling her names.” An officer responded and found the child “was upset because his mom took his phone.”
- A caller said “someone was burning yard debris.” An officer responded and determined the source of the smoke was “a recreational fire.”
- A caller said “his parents were fighting.” Officers responded, and the adult disputants “were given information for Crisis Intervention.”
April 10, 2017
- A caller said “he heard something outside,” and “his dogs were then barking.” An officer responded and found “everything was okay, and no one was in the area.”
- Leigh Richard Houghton, 51, 2514 First Ave., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
