  • A caller said a horn was stuck and making a steady blaring noise near the intersection of W. Fifth and Elm streets in Perry. When officers did not immediately respond, the caller called again and “said he was going to take a gun and a flashlight and investigate the area himself.” The caller was advised to go back into his home and wait for officers to arrive. Officers responded and found the owner of the vehicle with the stuck horn, who said she would have it corrected. Officers then explained to the caller the reason for their brief delay and “further advised that he should not arm himself and investigate in this situation,” but “instead he should be a good witness from a safe place and report to law enforcement.”
  • An 11-year-old girl from Clear Lake was arrested on a charge of simple assault.
