The Perry Public Library will host a free Solar Eclipse Watch at noon Monday, Aug. 21 in the library’s large meeting room. Amateur space nerd Joe Cerwinske will explain why this eclipse is particularly special.
A hands-on activity is planned that will aid visitors’ understanding of the relative size relationship between the sun, moon and earth and the importance of safely viewing the solar eclipse.
Special glasses will be provided.
