Fourteen employees of the Perry Hy-Vee were among more than 2,600 employees honored Monday at a company-wide awards banquet held at the new Ron Person Conference Center in West Des Moines.

Perry Hy-Vee workers receiving awards for five years or more of service included Eric Anderson for five years, Pam Graham five years, Maggie Jiron five years, Perry Store Director Matt May for 10 years, Ben Lawson 10 years, Kelli Weber 15 years, Megan Santella 10 years, Tracey Bennett 20 years, Sean Iben 21 years, Paula Blaisdell 25 years, Phil Bricker 26 years, Marcie Neuhalfen 26 years, Karen Martin 38 years and Marie Pohl 39 years.

The workers gather annually from across Hy-Vee’s eight-state region at a series of service award dinners, which celebrate employees’ career milestones in five-year increments, from five to 45 years and beyond.

Hy-Vee has been sponsoring the awards banquets for more than 50 years. Attendees received gifts and personal congratulations from top company executives, including Hy-Vee Chairman, CEO and President Randy Edeker, who posed for individual commemorative photos with all the award recipients.

According to the company, Hy-Vee Inc. is an employee-owned corporation operating more than 240 retail stores across eight Midwestern states, with sales of $9.3 billion annually. Hy-Vee ranks among the top 25 supermarket chains and the top 50 private companies in the United States.

The trade journal Supermarket News has honored the company with a Whole Health Enterprise Award for its leadership in providing services and programs that promote a healthy lifestyle. For more information, visit the Hy-Vee website.
