The Make Our Prom Pop fundraiser led by the Perry High School Junior Class, where students collected beer and soft drink cans after last weekend’s Fourth of July celebrations, raised a respectable $364.
“And we still have more cans to get,” said Junior Class President Devon Archer. “So, yeah, not a bad fundraiser whatsoever.”
Archer said five students helped in the post-holiday collection, including Junior Class Secretary Emma Olejniczak, Grace Marburger, Alvaro Soto and Brooke Huntington.
“We would like to thank the Perry community for their pop can donations in order to help with our prom,” Archer said.
