The Perry girls soccer team recently had 15 players and their student manager all named as Raccoon River Conference All-Academic honorees.[wpedon id=”82220″ align=”center”]
To earn the recognition a student must be in grades 10-12, earn a letter, and post a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
Honored from Perry were: Ciera Bronnenberg, Julissa Calderon, Merary Garcia, Vivian Gonzalez, Janet Ortiz, Paola Gomez, Beyonce Gonzalez, Jaqueline Guardado, Carly Herrera, Molly Lutmer, Magley Orellana, Odaly Perla, Hannah Peterson, Katelyn Saldana, Lexie Welch and Edgar Sandoval.
The team was also feted with the IGHSAU Distinguished Academic Team Award for posting a combined GPA of 3.25-4.0.
The Jayettes are coached by Gilmar Guerra. He is assisted by Courtney Bahney, and Gary Iles.
