An estimated crowd of 2,000 lined the route from 18th to 10th streets and along 10th to Greene streets. Parade entrants were arranged by a large corps of green-shirted volunteers in two locations near the brickyard, with enough entrants taking part that the procession lasted for nearly an hour, with no gaps between floats, walkers or vehicles.

ThePerryNews.com was pleased to enter the parade in the 1951 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 owned by Mike and Diane Caufield of rural Dallas Center. The midnight blue cruiser was last seen in Perry’s Independence Day parade.
