ADEL, Iowa — The Dallas County Sheriff’s Benevolent Association hosted its annual car show Saturday on the square in Adel, with longtime partner the Special Olympics Iowa reaping the fundraising benefits.

While visitors inspected the restored motorized beauties, the Adel Volunteer Fire Department served pulled pork and hamburgers in support of Special Olympics Iowa.

The car show started at 10 a.m., and awards were presented at 2 p.m.

Also on Saturday, the Adel Women’s Club continued the good deeds by collecting donations from motorists at the corner of Main Street and N Avenue. The fundraising aims to support an expansion of Adel’s Good Samaritan Food Pantry.
