ADEL — An already impressive season grew even brighter Tuesday after host ADM (33-7) dispatched Norwalk (19-15) in their Class 4A Region 3 Final.[wpedon id=”85410″ align=”left”]

The win sets up a State Quarterfinal with DC-G (18-22), who stopped Pella (6-5), in the Region 4 Final. The two teams will meet, at 1 p.m., on Buena Vista Diamond (the main field) at Harlan Rogers Park in Fort Dodge Tuesday.

The Tigers were 11-5 victors over the visiting Fillies June 6 in their only meeting of the regular season.

ADM will be making their fifth all-time appearance at the state tourney and their first since tying for fifth place as a 3A team in 2008.

The Tigers are the top-seed, with Fillies seeded eighth. Fourth-seed Newton (24-7) faces fifth-seed Cedar Rapids Xavier (25-16) in the other quarterfinal in the top half of the bracket.

Charles City (33-6) is seeded second and faces Des Moines Hoover (seven seed, 18-7) while Independence (34-6), the third seed, battles sixth-seeded Sergeant Bluff-Luton (23-13) on the bottom half of the bracket.
