The turnout for the 2016 Jayette Alumni Softball Game was a good one. Organizers are hoping even more players will be at Paul Graves Diamond at Pattee Park Sunday at 12:45 p.m. Players from all graduating classes are encouraged to join in the fun.

As part of the continuing celebration of the Perry High School “All 70’s Reunion” the reunion committee, in conjunction with the Perry Girls Softball Association, are holding an alumni softball game — for players from any graduating class, not just the 70’s — at Paul Graves Diamond in Pattee Park at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Registration will begin at 12:45 p.m. Players are asked to bring their glove and bat and to wear Perry blue. A pitching machine will be used for the game.

There is no cost to play, but free will donations will be acceptable. All money raised will be placed in a fund to purchase a new scoreboard at the former varsity diamond.

Alumni are encouraged to come and play, or at least to watch and cheer as former Jayettes from a wide spectrum of graduating classes flash their skills.

Donations toward the new scoreboard are welcome, and can be sent to “Scoreboard” care of PGSA, Box 66, Perry, Iowa 50220.
