The Perry Performing Arts Center was filled nearly to capacity Thursday night for the 2016 Perry Elementary School Kindergarten Concert.
More than 130 kindergartners took part in the annual singing show, directed by Perry Elementary School music instructors Shaylena Bell and Devin Schroeder.
This year’s program was called, “Awesome Animals,” and it featured four scenes, each with a different theme.
After the “Awesome Animals” introduction came the first themed scene: the domestic pets we love.
The theme of the second scene was wild animals and the music of nature, followed by the third theme called, “The Fox,” by Mark Brymer.
“Our Animal Friends” was the theme of the final scene. “We totally need our animal friends,” the show concluded. “I can’t imagine a world without them.”
The sentiment in Spanish read, “Todos necesitamos de nuestros amigos animales. / No me puedo imaginar un mundo sin ellos!”
