Saturday evening’s humidity made a damp atmosphere for the men’s steak and sweet corn feed held at the First Baptist Church in Perry.
About 45 men attended the meal. They were served steaks, sweet corn, tomatoes, baked potatoes, dessert and a variety of beverages. Everyone agreed the food was excellent.
“The purpose of this event was to bring area men together for Christian Fellowship,” according to First Baptist Church Pastor Chris Tjapkes.
The women of the church also helped with this event. About 10 church women could be seen helping to prepare and serve the feast.
After the meal, a concert was performed by Christian singer Chris Miller.
