A light rain could not keep the crowd away from Bouton Saturday morning for the November Bouton Betterment Committee’s fundraising pancake breakfast.
The committee served about 200 people in three hours, according to one committee member. Many in the crowd could be heard discussing Iowa State and Simpson College football.
The fundraising breakfasts help finance equipment for the fire department and improvements in the city’s streets. The next Bouton breakfast is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1.
