Individuals interested in placing orders for the Rippey School Memorial Patio should complete an application this week because the Friends of Rippey are planning to submit the orders July 5.
Mark Devilbiss has graciously and generously assumed the role formerly being filled by his dad, Keith Devilbiss. Mark is also a mason and will place the new bricks ordered into the patio area.
Individuals do not have to be graduates of the Rippey School in order to purchase a brick, as a number of former students who were educated in the building when it served as the East Greene K-8th grade center now have their bricks in place.
Several persons also have chosen to purchase bricks for their parents, former teachers or other relatives or friends they want to recognize and honor.
The bricks are $50 each, and orders must be submitted on the form because the number of lines on each brick is limited. The forms are available for download here and on the Remembering the Rippey School Facebook site. Hard copy forms are available at the Library, the church or either Rippey bank.
