Andrew Brommer, the new financial advisor at Edward Jones in Perry, hosted members of the Perry Chamber of Commerce  Friday at a monthly Coffee Time event.

Chamber President Emily Leslie thanked the 20 members attending the morning meeting and welcomed Brommer to Perry’s commercial community. Leslie said Brommer has accepted a seat on the Perry Chamber’s Executive Committee, and she was “excited to learn a little bit more about him and his staff.”

Brommer, a native of Rosemont, Minn., was a standout center on the University of Iowa Hawkeye basketball team from 2008 to 2011. He worked in Des Moines before taking the leadership position at the Edward Jones office in Perry, where the “goals of investors” are his first priority, he said.

“Whether you’re planning for retirement, saving for college for children or grandchildren or just trying to protect the financial future of the ones you care for the most, we can work together to develop specific strategies to help you achieve your goals,” Brommer said. “We can also monitor your progress to help make sure you stay on track or determine if any adjustments need to be made. Throughout it all, we’re dedicated to providing you top-notch client service.”

Anne Butler of Jefferson will be serving as the interim manager of the Perry office of Edward Jones. Butler also greeted the Chamber coffee drinkers.

Welcoming Brommer to the commercial community were Perry Chamber members Matt Crooks of the Dallas County Hospital, Sven Peterson of the city of Perry, Julie Scheib of the Perry Chamber of Commerce, Misty VonBehren of the Perry Public Library, Macinzie McFarland of the Dallas County Hospital, Zack Cregeen of the RE/MAX Torres Team, Juda Saemisch and Larry Saemisch of the RE/MAX Pros on Main, Jan Pattee and Jay Pattee of Ben’s Five and Dime, Aaron Stoltz of the Perry Health and Wellness Center, Marcus Carris of the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care, Joe Cerwinske of KDLS, Lisa Widick of Gatehouse Media, Kiley Wellendorf of Gatehouse Media and Danielle Stoppelmoor of the Big Green Umbrella.

“These monthly Chamber Coffees are an excellent way to visit with other business owners and help spread the word with what’s happening in the community of Perry,” Leslie said. “The Chamber Coffees are open to the entire community.”

At 6’9″, Brommer will help balance out the Chamber’s soon-to-be-ever-more-frequent ribbon-cutting pictures with the similarly tall Carris, a longtime Chamber member.
