GREENFIELD, Iowa — Lindsay Davis hit a contested running half-court shot at the buzzer to give Nodaway Valley (14-3) a 54-55 win over Class 2A No. 4 Panorama (13-1) in non-conference girls basketball Saturday.

The Panther boys won their sixth straight game and ninth of the last 10 by seizing control early, leading 14-7 after eight minutes and 38-20 after 16 minutes. The hosts trimmed their deficit slightly in the third period to trail 52-39 but could not complete the comeback.

Panorama turned the ball over 18 times to only seven for the Wolverines, but took full advantage of a 45-22 spread in rebounds collected. The Panthers were 7-of-17 (41 percent) on 3-point tries, with the home team 6-of-27 (22 percent).
