CARROLL — Julie LaRue allowed only three runners to reach base and received plenty of offensive support Monday as Carroll posted a 10-0 win over Perry in Raccoon River Conference softball.

The Tigers (20-10, 6-6) scored once in the second and three times in each of the succeeding three innings to end the game early. Perry (4-22, 0-13) received a single from Libby Hastings, with Kennedy Tunink and Jasmine Shriver each drawing walks to account for the only Jayettes to make it safely to first base.

LaRue, who struck out three in the win, helped her own cause by hitting a double and two singles.

Chloe Gallegos had two doubles for the hosts, with Olivia Eischeid hitting a double and a single. The Tigers finished with 10 stolen bases.

Jayna Kenney threw four innings in the ring for Perry. She surrendered 10 runs (four earned) on 11 hits and a walk while striking out one.

Perry visits Winterset Wednesday and will play a varsity-only game against Coon Rapids-Bayard at the Perry Athletic Complex Friday. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m.
