Chamber’s Chocolate Walk spreads sweetness over two days

Valentine’s Day in Perry is the time when local businesses advertise their favorite chocolate-themed sweets in the annual Chocolate Walk.

This year’s walk was sponsored by the Perry Chamber of Commerce and was extended to into two-day affair so chocolate lovers could savor the sweetness at their leisure.

Among the sweetest was Tamara Benedict of Perry, owner of Tammy Cakes Specialty Cupcakes, who served fresh heart-shaped cookies and cake pops at Flowers by Donna Jean in Woodward.

The Humane Society of Perry Cattery at Willis Avenue and McColl Street was also serving cake pops to the candied walkers. Free petting was available of the Cattery cats, who luxuriated under heat lamps.
