Chargers bolt past Panthers in Monday meeting

GUTHRIE CENTER — Host AC/GC erupted for six runs in the third inning and five more in the fourth to help generate a 13-2 win over Panorama in five innings of WCAC baseball Monday.

Luke South yielded seven runs (three earned) on eight hits and two walks in three full frames on the hill for Panorama. Hunter Holmes walked three, allowed one hit and surrendered four runs (all earned) in two-thirds of an inning, with Jacob Iseminger allowing two runs (both earned) on three hits while recording one out. South had three strikeouts for the visitors.

Tanner Godfrey had three base hits and drove in both Panther runs, with Levi Richey adding two singles. South tried to help the cause with a double and two stolen bases. He scored both Panorama runs.

Panorama host Martensdale-St. Marys tonight and then are off until a trip to Earlham Monday.
