The Perry football cheerleaders have earned a Distinguished Academic Acheivement award from the IGHSAU after posting a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Nine members of the squad recorded a personal GPA of higher than 3.25, with those who were in grades 10-12 and who earned a varsity letter qualifying as All-Academic honorees by the Raccoon River Conference.
Earning the designation were Shelby De la Cruz, Eliza Cunningham, Angela Hernandez, Rylynn Gilmore, Sydney Helmers, Carly Herrera, Avery Miner, Odaly Peral and Cindy Truong.
