December 8, 2019

  • Cathy Deardorff of Perry was traveling south in the 17000 block of J Avenue when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000.

December 9, 2019

  • Patricia Ackelson of Adel was traveling west in the outside lane near the 110 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when her vehicle slid into the median guard wire, causing the vehicle to spin and enter the north ditch backwards. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,500, and damage to the guard rail post was estimated at $250.
  • Jaime Cortes-Estrado of Chicago was traveling near the 117 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when he lost control of his vehicle due to the roadway conditions, and the vehicle spun and struck the cable barrier. Cortes-Estrado was taken to Mercy Main by Waukee EMS. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $500, and damage to the cable barrier was estimated at $1,000.
  • James Moreland of Perry was traveling north on H Avenue when he lost control due to the roadway conditions, and the vehicle rolled into the east ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000.
  • Stacie Fiddler of Ankeny was traveling in the 26000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
