Jan. 21, 2022

  • Derrick Sandy, 53, of 13647 Partridge Trail, Perry, was arrested for second-degree kidnapping, willful injury, assault while participating in a felony, dominion/control of firearm by felon, assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, first-degree harassment, false imprisonment, third-degree criminal mischief and obstruction of emergency communications.
  • Connor Huey, 19, of 16005 Northpark Dr,, Urbandale, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
  • Ler Paw of Des Moines was driving through the parking lot at the Tyson Fresh Meats factory when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Marie Pouassi Ndjomgoue of Grimes. No injuries were reported. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $500.
  • Aron Fire of Des Moines was traveling near the 133 mile marker of Iowa Highway 141 when he lost control, and his vehicle struck a highway sign. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $1,000. Fire was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.

Jan. 22, 2022

  • Amanda Sturtz, 33, of Minburn was arrested for driving while barred and issued a citation for failure to provide proof of financial liability and fraudulent use of registration.
  • Chance McCormick, 28, of 4137 Bowdoin St, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
  • Tracy Hogan of Redfield was traveling in the 12000 block of Linden Road when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,500.

Jan. 23, 2022

  • Anthony John Ramirez, 41, of 2101 Clark St., Des Moines, was arrested for two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of prescription drug, two counts of controlled substance violation and two counts of failure to affix drug stamp.
  • Breanna Ramirez, 29, of 308 E. McKinley Ave., Des Moines, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
