June 14, 2018

  • The First State Bank in Dexter reported someone broke into the ATM at the bank. The front door was pried open and an attempt to break into the safe was made.
  • Mark and Jaime Wiebelhaus of 31181 T Ave. reported someone broke into all three of the vehicles parked at their residence. Several items were missing.
  • Tim Forret of 29065 322nd St. reported the theft of items out of a vehicle parked in his driveway.

June 15, 2018

  • Devon Bradley King, 22, of 5975 N.E. Berwick Dr., Berwick, was arrested in the 26000 block of 141st Street in Bouton for driving while suspended.
  • Darrin Clemens Spellman, 24, of 1800 Linden St., Dallas Center, was arrested at 1800 Linden St. in Dallas Center for disorderly conduct.
  • Corey Edward Pline, 32, of 2221 N.W. 82nd St., Clive, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while barred.
  • Tod Lynn Rickels, 57, of 311 Warford St., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Edwin Ochoa Melena, 25, of 728 South 17th St., Fort Dodge, was arrested on a warrant for theft.
  • Emma Lou Mulder, 25, of 5053 Spencer Hill St., Lehigh, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of trespass.

June 16, 2018

  • Devon Saffells of Redfield was traveling in the 16000 block of Old Highway 6 when his vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Saffells was issued a citation for failure to maintain control, no proof of insurance and operation without registration.
  • Kyle Leonard Tjaden, 30, of 1813 Bennett Dr., West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for driving while license suspended.

June 17, 2018

  • Christopher David Hasty, 34, of 7 Prairie Lane, Dallas Center, was arrested at 1107 Sugar Grove Ave. in Dallas Center for OWI.
  • Michael Lloyd Jones, 22, of 3800 Martin Luther King Parkway, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of probation violation.

June 18, 2018

  • Stephen Sansing of Acworth, Ga., was traveling near the 110 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,500.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
