March 10, 2023

  • Tarkpor Zuo of Altoona was traveling in the 25000 block of W Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,500.
  • Wilson Solorzano of Bayard was traveling in the 14000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $8,000.
  • Ean Broerman of Stuart was traveling westbound on Sugar Grove Avenue in Dallas Center when his vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by Quin Renze of Ankeny. No injuries were reported. Damage to Broerman’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Renze’s vehicle was estimated at $20,000. Broerman was issued a citation for failure to yield upon left turn.
  • Kenneth Walker, 57, of 4940 N.E. 14th St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on original charges of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a prescription drug.
  • Collin Gregory, 22, of 1355 S.W. Prairie Trail, Ankeny, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of OWI.

March 11, 2023

  • Elizabeth Hawk of Indianola was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 106 mile marker when she lost control on the snow, and he vehicle entered the median and struck the cable barrier. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
  • Siyu Yang of Minneapolis was traveling eastbound of U.S. Interstate 80 when he lost control on the snow, and his vehicle became hung up on the guard wires. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $20,000.
  • Claire Greenslade of Adel was traveling in the 22000 block of 280th Street when she lost control on the snow, and her vehicle entered the ditch and struck a tree. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $10,000.

March 12, 2023

  • Vincent Payne of Dallas Center was exiting the interstate in De Soto when his vehicle was struck from the rear by a vehicle, driven by Christopher Davis of Des Moines. No injuries were reported. Damage to Davis’ vehicle was estimated at $5,000, and damage to Payne’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
