May 27, 2022

  • Kaedon Vanhouten, 18, of 3011 E. Douglas Ave., Des Moines, was arrested for second-degree theft, third-degree burglary-motor vehicle and fifth-degree theft.
  • Joseph Stovall, 21, of 930 Loomis Ave., Des Moines, was arrested for OWI and possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a citation for no valid driver’s license.
  • Seth Watts, 32, of 409 10th St., Dallas Center, was arrested for OWI.
  • Troy Palomo, 33, of 401 Second St. N.W., Altoona, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on original charges of dominion/control of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

May 28, 2022

  • Kyle Klembara, 31, of Grimes was arrested for OWI.
  • Anthony Hoadley of Creston, was traveling on a motorcycle westbound on U.S. Interstate 80 at mile marker 110 when his vehicle struck a deer. Hoadley was transported to Methodist by Dallas County EMS. Damage to the motorcycles was estimated at $10,000.
  • Donovan Young of Grand Junction was traveling in the 16000 block of J Avenue when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,000.

May 29, 2022

  • Kirby Marsh, 39, of 20280 Twins Pines Dr., Earlham, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.
  • Jennifer Humphrey, 47, of 20280 Twin Pine Dr., Earlham, was arrested for second-degree criminal mischief and second degree harassment.
  • Felix Reyes of unknown abode and Jonathan Reyes Alfaro of Perry were traveling on motorcycles on J Avenue south of Perry when Reyes’ vehicle struck a deer. Reyes Alfaro’s vehicle then struck Reyes’s vehicle, and both were injured and transported by Dallas County EMS. Damage to both motorcycles was estimated at $10,000. The case is under investigation.
  • Michael Sherman, 31, of 1352 12th St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

May 30, 2022

  • Sean Teske, 50, of 17 River Vista Dr., Adel, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Betty Saypahn, 35, of 4505 86th St., Urbandale, was arrested for two counts of child endangerment and issued citations for failure to provide proof of financial liability, reckless driving, failure to display registration plate, violation of instruction permit limitation and two counts of failure to use child restraint device.
  • Justin Sesker of Dexter was traveling northbound on R Avenue near 360th Street when he lost control of his vehicle, which entered the ditch and overturned. Sesker was transported by Dallas County ES to Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
  • John Law of Fort Dodge was traveling in the 12000 clock of D Avenue when he swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of his vehicle, which entered the ditch. Law was transported by Dallas County EMS to Dallas County Hospital. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
  • Sean Teske, 50, of 17 River Vista Dr., Adel, was arrested on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license denied, suspended, cancelled or revoked and unlawful possession of prescription drug.
  • Jacob Thompson of Manito, Illinois, was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 at mile marker 117 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $10,000.
