October 23, 2017
- Brandon Duff of Adel was stopped at the stop sign that was there for construction on the bridge in the 1900 block of Guthrie Street in De Soto when he was rear ended by a vehicle driven by Clarke Davidson of Des Moines. No injuries were reported. Damage to Davidson’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage to Duff’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000. Duff was issued citations for two counts of driving under suspension, no insurance and failure to stop in an assured clear distance.
- Nicholas Clumpner of 31792 Houston Court, Adel, was issued a citation for unlawful passing of a school in the 13418 block of 310th Street in Redfield.
- David Leroy McGruder, 39, of 3827 Eighth Place, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on original charges of possession of a controlled substance, violation of probation and contempt of court-refusal to pay fine.
- Nate Bandy of Adel was traveling north on I Avenue when he swerved to avoid colliding with another vehicle and Bandy’s vehicle struck a utility pole. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000. Damage to the road sign was estimated at $120, and damage to the utility pole was estimated at $2,000.
October 24, 2017
- Jaimie Dean Embrey, 23, of 1716 First Ave., Perry, was issued a citation for driving under suspension at the intersection of Beaver Avenue and E. First Street in Bouton.
- Adam Dean Deemer, 46, of 1047 Kingsdale Dr., Waukee, was arrested at 15205 Hickman Rd. in Waukee for driving while license revoked.
- Shawnda Marie Worthington, 42, of 605 Omaha St., Redfield, was issued a citation in the 600 block of Omaha Street in Redfield for driving while suspended and insufficient number of headlamps.
- Elizabeth Beach of Des Moines was traveling west on 240th Street when she attempted to pass a truck, swerved to the left and entered the ditch, striking a church sign and then entering a field. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated was at $1,0000.
October 25, 2017
- Kendra Caceres of Frisco, Colo., was traveling east near the 112 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,000.
- Edward John Winger, 23, of 6917 Roseland Dr., Urbandale, was arrested on a warrant for OWI.
