BOONE — The short-roster numbers plaguing most football teams in Class 3A District 2 has moved many of the contests this season from 7:30 p.m. start times to 7 p.m. but such will not be the case when Perry visits Boone Friday.

The Toreadors have announced that they will be honoring fall sports seniors prior to the game, with some activities scheduled for halftime. As a result, kickoff at Goeppinger Field has been moved back to the traditional 7:30 p.m. start.

Both teams are 0-7 overall and 0-3 in district play. Boone had fallen to visiting Humboldt, 7-6, and on the road to Carroll, 55-13, and DC-G, 30-6, in district play, with Perry dropping games at DC-G, 41-0, and at home to both Webster City, 50-13, and Carroll, 49-0. The teams have one common non-district foe, ADM, who defeated Perry, 71-0, and Boone, 31-0.

The Toreadors have gained only 193 total rushing yards on 164 carries and scored just once on the ground in seven games, but are 81-of-204 for 1,023 passing yards and seven scores, with 15 passes intercepted.

The Bluejays ate 29-81-11 for 359 yards and four touchdowns through the air and have scored twice while gaining 331 yards on 170 rushes.
