Perry senior Adriana Eastman made it official Friday, inking her name to a letter of intent to further pursue her education and softball playing days at Grand View University.

The Vikings are a rising NAIA power. Head coach Lou Yacinich has taken his team to the NAIA National Tournament in 2006, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Grand View was 48-10 last season, winning the Heart of America conference regular season and tournament titles. The Vikings enter the 2019 season ranked 21st nationally.

Eastman has primarily played first base for Perry, but has seen time at both third base and catcher. Her collegiate position is to be determined.

She enters her senior season for head coach Tina Lutterman’s squad with 25 RBIs and two home runs while sporting a .230 batting average.

The daughter of Corey and Natalie Eastman of Perry, Adriana intends to pursue a career in nursing.

Grand View University, located in east Des Moines, is a private liberal arts school founded in 1896 by the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. The school is home to approximately 2,000 undergraduate students.
