The Perry School Board will meet at noon Wednesday, Aug. 12 in the Brady Library at Perry High School.
Monday night’s regular meeting was postponed due to the derecho storm that devastated Perry and much of the U.S. Midwest.
The question of mandatory versus voluntary use of face coverings will be discussed at the meeting, according to district parent Megan Geffre.
“One topic that will be covered is whether or not to implement the use of masks in school,” Geffre said in a post on the Perry Community Facebook page. “Our board encourages community involvement/feedback. Please show up. Please share your thoughts. Our voices matter.”
The agenda for the meeting does not include a time for public comments, but Action Item VI. B.: Approve Return to Learn Plan, would be the logical time for the board to receive public input.
