The Perry Fareway made a dazzling donation to the Perry Chamber of Commerce Friday morning when Fareway Manager and Chamber President Travis Landgrebe presented a check for $2,500 to Chamber Executive Director Lynsi Pasutti, the round-up total from the 2019 Fourth of July fireworks fundraiser.
“We’re very excited,” Pasutti said. “This gets us closer to our goal for this year’s fireworks show.”
Landgrebe said he was grateful to the generous Fareway customers. He said 4,591 transactions were rounded up during the five-day fundraiser, with an average donation of 54 cents.
The top Fareway fundraisers, Cashier Dariel McNamara and Kelly Marquez, took home a $50 Fareway gift cards for encouraging 590 customers to round up a total of $380.59. Eight cashiers were awarded with $25 gift cards by meeting the $100 goal at their registers.
Joining Landgrebe and Pasutti for the patriotic presentation were Perry Chamber members Lee Coons, Zack Cregeen and Clark Wicks and Chamber Executive Secretary Julie Scheib.
