Reese Jamison was named to the All-WCAC First Team infield, with Matt Buch picked at catcher, and Cole Theisen at an infield spot, for the All-WCAC Second Team. Honorable Mention status was bestowed on pitchers Brandon Worley and Jay Dorenkamp.

In the vagaries of postseason voting by various groups, Buch was chosen to the All-District Second Team while Worley was well-regarded enough to also be picked for All-District Second Team recognition.

Buch, a senior, hit .311 and had six doubles and two triples among his 23 hits. He drove in 18 runs, scored seven times and was solid defensively, committing only two errors on the season while handling a pitching staff that struck out 163 batters in 186 innings.

Sophomore hurler Worley was 4-4 after facing the toughest teams on the schedule. He finished with an ERA of 2.24 in 43-2/3 innings and allowed opponents to hit just .227. Worley showed excellent command of the strike zone throughout the season, striking out 32 batters while issuing only four walks.

Jamison, a sophomore, batted .338 with 27 total hits, including five doubles and a triple. He drove in 25 runs, scored 23 times and was safe on 24-of-29 stolen base attempts.

Theisen, a senior pitcher/first baseman, hit .292 in his final prep campaign. He produced nine doubles, two triples and a home run among 21 hits. Theisen scored 21 runs, drove in 24 runs, arrived safely on all 14 of his steal attempts and drew 22 walks.

Dorenkamp’s sophomore season was record-setting, as he finished 7-0 on the bump while establishing a new W-G season record for lowest ERA with a miniscule 0.57 in 36-1/3 frames. He fanned 39 batters, walked only 14, and yielding an opponent batting average of just .121.

The Hawks are coached by Eric Evans.
