Perry students from pre-k through grade 12 may receive free "grab-and-go" meals from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. at either the Perry High School or Perry Elementary beginning Monday.

All Perry students, including those attending St. Patrick Catholic School, from pre-kindergarten through their senior year in high school, will be able to receive free meals through a Grab-and-Go program beginning Monday.

Each sack meal will include the lunch for that day as well as breakfast for the following day. Milk or juice will be included. The meals are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.

Meals can be picked up in the rear of the Perry Elementary School near the PACES entrance or at the main door at Perry High School from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. Monday through Friday. Students must be present to receive the meals, and all will be served on a first-come-first-serve basis.

School officials request that all parents and students remain in their vehicles, and staff members will bring the meals to the vehicles, thus “Grab-and-Go.”

Those who cannot come to either site are asked to call the PCSD Superintendent’s office at 515-465-3503 to make delivery arrangements.

Parents are free to chose either site to receive their student meals. For example, a family with an elementary student could choose to pick up at the high school, if it is more convenient.

The Perry Community School District is an equal opportunity provider.
