Fun had by all at Jefferson’s Trick-or-Treat on the Square

Candy buckets and pumpkins were full of goodies by the time youngsters finished making the rounds Thursday at Jefferson's Trick-or-Treat On the Square.

JEFFERSON — The temperature had just the perfect touch of autumn coolness Thursday afternoon, but the chill in the air was easily dismissed by the warmth of having fun, as several hundred excited youth discovered.

Costumes, outfits and get-ups of all kinds were out in force for Trick-or-Treat On the Square as eager youngsters made their way around downtown Jefferson, collecting candy and treats as they went from business to business.

Even the smallest caught the Hallowe’en spirit, as numerous strollers contained the littlest attendees in festive attire. Some adults caught the spirit as well, with many grown-ups spotted in various costumes.
