With the spirit of gift giving still in the air of Perry, Eduardo Garcia of Clive set up his street-vendor’s tent Saturday at the corner of Willis Avenue and Third Street.

“It’s not too cold,” said Garcia, owner of El Bajio Boots. “That’s good for business.”

According to its product literature, El Bajio Boots aims to offer its customers “clothings, footwear and boots in a wide variety of brands and contemporary styles.”

Garcia set out many of his leather goods for inspection around midday in the parking lot of the Perry Fareway.

“I come here maybe once or twice a year,” he said. He said he sets up shop mostly around the West Des Moines area but likes to work the outskirts from time to time.

Garcia’s regular store, at 1800 N.W. 86th St. in Clive, is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The phone number for El Bajio Boots is 515-525-3199.
