W-G pitcher Riley Jamison delivers a pitch in the third inning against Perry Saturday.

WOODWARD — Meagan Bandstra was 4-for-4 and Alison Soelberg 3-for-4 to fuel a 13-hit barrage that carried Woodward-Granger to a 10-3 win over visiting West Central Valley in WCC softball Tuesday.

Bandstra had the only extra-base hit for the Hawks — a double — while driving in four runs. Bree Lesch had three RBIs and Soelberg two, with Carli Major adding two hits and a RBI to aid the winning cause.

WCV scored once in the top of the second, with W-G answering with a run of their own. W-G grabbed a 2-1 lead in the third, but WCV tied the game at 2-all in the top of the fourth.

From that point on it was almost all Hawks, as the hosts plated four runs in the fourth and tallied two runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to move in front, 10-2. WCV added a final run in the seventh but it was not nearly enough to change the outcome.

Riley Jamison collected the win in the circle. She allowed three runs on only two hits, with all three runs unearned. The sophomore did not walk a batter and recorded five strikeouts.
