Post season honors have been collected by four Woodward-Granger baseballers.

GRANGER — Woodward-Granger finished their first season under veteran head coach Mike Long with a 14-12 overall record, a mark that included a 12-7 run through the WCAC.

Second team All-Southwest District honors were bestowed on sophomore pitcher Collin Nardini. He was 6-0 on the mound with a vanishingly-small 0.89 ERA after allowing only nine runs (seven earned) in 43-2/3 frames on the rubber. Nardini allowed just 31 hits while walking only eight batters and hitting three with pitches. He tallied 39 strikeouts.

Inexplicably, Nardini was a Second Team All-WCAC choice. He hit .241 (20-of-83) with 17 singles and three doubles and scored 10 runs while driving in 10.

First Team All-WCAC recognition was given to senior outfielder Christian Husmann and to senior Colby Tague (at a wild card/utility) spot.

Husmann batted .309 (25-of-81) with 19 singles, five doubles, and a triple. He was also a threat on bases, stealing 24 bags in 26 attempts. Husmann finished with 26 RBIs and 10 runs scored.

Tague was 30-of-82 (.366) at the plate with 24 singles and six doubles. He drove in 20 runs and scored six times while striking out only four times during the season.

Also named to the All-WCAC Second Team was senior infielder Worth Henry. He batter .299 (26-of-87) in his final prep campaign, recording 23 singles, a double, and two triples. Henry scored 27 runs, drove in 13 and was a deadly 28-of-29 on stolen base attempts.
