Woodward-Granger High School senior Jalen Trudeau this week committed to play football in the fall at Dakota State University in Madison, S.D.
Trudeau transferred as a Senior to W-G from Waukee Northwest. He was sidelined with an injury that kept him out of the first four Hawks games but came back for the final six and garnered an All-District selection as a linebacker. He projects as a Strong Safety or OLB at the next level.
“His camp and 7-on-7 performances from all around the country over the last couple of years earned him quite a bit of recruiting buzz headed into his senior season,” said Jeremy Trudeau.
Dakota State is coming off a successful 2022 season at 6-4. Their $100 million facility overhaul will make them one of the more attractive NAIA level football programs in the Midwest going forward, according to DSU Head Coach Josh Anderson.
