Hawks, Panthers, Trojans meet for triangular

WOODWARD, IA — Panorama and Pleasantville were guests of the Woodward-Granger volleyball team Thursday, with the trio playing a triangular that will not be counted among WCC standings despite all three being members of the league.

Pleasantville (11-12) was a two-time winner, topping both W-G (5-13) and Panorama (3-12), the former by scores of 25-23, 16-25 and 15-13 and the latter by margins of 23-25, 25-19, and 15-12. W-G defeated Panorama, 25-12, and 25-12, in the other match.

Anna Weaver amassed 45 assists for W-G, with Bella McDivitt adding two and Grace Deputy and Audrey Simmons one each. Simmons totaled 13 kills, Deputy and Mescher 12 apiece, Emma Klocke 10 and Cadence Klocke 4.

Deputy finished with four blocks at the net, with Cadence and Emma Klocke both having one block, as did Mescher.

McDivitt recorded 32 digs and Simmons 21, with Mescher having 15. Cela Hill tallied 10 digs, Emma Klocke nine, Weaver eight, Deputy and McKenna Carroll three each and Cadence Klocke one.

W-G was 101-of-114 serving (89 percent) in the two matches with five total aces.
