The Heartland Church of Christ welcomed visitors from Perry’s commercial community Tuesday afternoon to a ribbon cutting ceremony, sponsored by the Perry Chamber of Commerce.
The Rev. Terry Carmichael showed the guests the church’s gleaming interior at the new location at 14417 J Ave. in Perry. The church was formerly located for many years at Fourth and Warford streets.
Visitors were reminded that the members of the Heartland Church of Christ have resumed their popular monthly community meals on the second Wednesday of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. A community-wide open house is planned for Sunday, Aug. 7 from 1-4 p.m. at the church, giving visitors another look at the new facility.
