A house fire was reported about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at 308 Lucinda St. in Perry, the home of Perry Volunteer Fire Department Chief Chris Hinds.
There were no injuries in the incident, which is under investigation at this hour.
Smoke could be seen coming from the structure, and firefighters were setting up ventilation fans to dispel the smoke.
The Perry Police Department, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded to the incident. An Alliant Energy crewperson was also on scene.
