With 107 years of Perry Kiwanis Club history between them, 23-year member Doug Wood, left, 42-year member Mark Lincoln, center, and 46-year member Lawrence Bice greeted diners to the 67th annual Perry Kiwanis Club Pancake Festival Saturday at the McCreary Community Building.

Winter weather might have kept some folks home, but the Perry Kiwanis Club still served more than 600 diners Saturday at the club’s 65th annual Kiwanis Pancake Festival.

Working in shifts, the Kiwanians served pancakes and sausage, with members of the PHS Junior Class Prom Committee managing the milk, orange juice and coffee.

The late-morning crowd filled the tables in the gymnasium of the McCreary Community Building for the Kiwanis Club’s largest annual fundraiser.

Among the veteran Kiwanians in attendance were Lawrence Bice of rural Perry, a member since 1974, and Mark Lincoln of Perry, a Kiwanian since 1978. Club Seretary Doug Wood, a member since 1997, said official numbers for attendance will be available Monday.
