The PHS swimmers traveled to Ft. Dodge Thursday to swim against Ft. Dodge High School and Algona High School. The Jayette overcame Algona 59-38 but fell to Ft. Dodge 58-42.
The format of the meet saw the swimmers complete once, with the meet scored three ways. Each team was allowed two entries per event. Unlike the Jayettes, both Ft. Dodge and Algona scored points with their divers.
Perry’s season record is now 9-1. There were five personal best times in individual events by three Perry swimmers. Sophia McDevitt had one, and Aleah Karolus and Emily Dowd each had two.
Two Perry relay teams had season-best times.
