The Perry girls will host a Class 2A Region 2 Semifinal at 6 p.m. May 31. Perry (6-6) will await the winner of the May 26 contest between host Denison-Schleswig (4-4) and Carroll (1-10).
Glenwood (4-8) hosts Harlan (2-9) on the opposite side of the bracket. That victor has the unenviable task of traveling to Lewis Central May 31 to face the second-ranked Titans. The Substate 2 Final will be played at Lewis Central June 6 at 6 p.m.
Lewis Central (7-3) has three loses against much larger schools from the Omaha metro area. They are undefeated against Iowa foes and have outscored those opponents 53-3.
Perry has blanked three foes but have themselves been held scoreless five times. The Jayettes hold only a 35-31 edge in goals scored this season.
Perry hosts Carroll Thursday and Des Moines Lincoln May 17 before capping their regular season with a visit to Atlantic May 24.
