INDIANOLA — Perry suffered a 105-61 loss to host Indianola in girls swimming action Thursday, but the Jayettes continue to show improvement and both team and individual strength in multiple events.

Perry (4-3) did not compete in the 200 freestyle relay, but won both the medley relay (in 2 minutes, 3.11 seconds) and the 400 free relay (in a season-best 3:56.25). Sophia McDevitt, Quin Mahler-Moreno, Jaylene Karolus, and Zoe Hibbert swam both events for the guests.

The Jayettes also won six of the eight individual races.

Karolus claimed the 100 butterfly in a personal-best 1:02.85, with Karolus first (25.71) and Hibbert fifth (27.04) in the 50 free while Mahler-Moreno won the 100 breaststroke (1:12.39) and the 500 free (5:21.16). Lilly Riley had a personal-best 6:19.1 in the latter to finish fifth.

McDevitt was first in the 100 backstroke with a new PB of 1:06.43, with Emily Dowd fourth in 1:25.88, also a new personal standard, while a clocking of 2:26.71 placed McDevitt first in the 200 IM.
