Wet conditions forced Perry to cancel Thursday’s Leon Fox Invitational, but the annual cross country meet at the Perry Golf and Country Club has been reset for Tuesday.
Originally featuring 16 teams, some seven schools will join the hosts in running the circuit, As ADM, Boone, Des Moines North, Dowling Catholic, Roland-Story, Saydel, and Winterset have all confirmed their intentions to compete.
The meet will begin at 4:15 p.m. with a middle school boys race, with the middle school girls to run at 4:30 p.m. Both are two-mile races.
The varsity races will be combined with junior varsity and will run at the usual 3K distance. The girls competition will begin at 5 p.m., with the boys answering the starter’s gun at 5:30 p.m.
