The Perry Public Library’s Team Bookworm will hold a Create for Life scrapbooking event Saturday, Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the McCreary Community Building, 1800 Pattee St. in Perry.
Team Bookworm is the library’s representative to the Relay for Life of Northern Dallas County. All proceeds from the Create for Life event will benefit the American Cancer Society.
Anyone with an unfinished scrapbook, craft, sewing or needlework project in encouraged to participate in Create for Life.
The opportunity also extends to anyone with a Pinterest project or Christmas gifts, cards or bazaar items to make.
The Create for Life event offers a chance to have a full day to work on these projects while supporting the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
The $40 registration fee includes lunch, supper, dessert and drinks, plus door prizes, make-and-take projects, a swap table, vendors and more.
Team Bookworm’s Create for Life will feature large work areas, and there will even be a massage therapist on site to provide chair massages for $1 a minute.
