Perry High School’s 19th annual Veterans Day Program begins at the Perry Hy-Vee at 6 a.m. with a free breakfast for all veterans, active service and National Guard and Reserve personnel. The breakfast will be served until 10 a.m.
The Dallas County Hospital will host refreshments from 8-8:45 a.m. in the Dr. Eugene Brady Library at PHS.
A veterans panel convenes at 9 a.m. at the Perry Performing Arts Center. Presentations will be made. The PHS veterans panels were first organized in 1988.
At 10 a.m. the 19th annual Veterans Day Assembly begins in the Perry Performing Arts Center. The guest speaker at this year’s assembly will be Master Sgt. Deanndra Head, Chief of Staff in the Iowa Air National Guard office.
A Veterans Day luncheon follows the assembly in the PHS gymnasium. Visitors intending to stay for lunch should make reservations by calling the PHS office at 515-465-3503.
The Perry Performing Arts Center is located at 1200 18th St., in Perry. The center is handicap accessible.
