Family and friends of William “Bill” Bullock, who passed away June 27 at his home in Perry, generously donated memorials to his family and Bill’s wife, Kay Bullock of Perry, designated memorials to Tori’s Angels Foundation among other recipients.
Tori’s Angels is a non-profit organization that supports children with life-threatening medical conditions in central Iowa.
A note received with the memorials said, “We hope this will help in taking care of the children. Bill loved Tori and would have wanted this to happen.”
Bill and Kay owned and operated the Perry Maid-Rite and Kay’s Gourmet Salads for many years. Bill also had a trucking operation and was a milk man for 20 years.
Tori’s Angels has helped 54 families to date. The foundation pays all medical expenses not covered by insurance from the date of sponsorship until the child’s 19th birthday. This includes all travel expenses to treatment (airfare, mileage, hotel, meals) along with prescriptions, medical co-pays and deductibles.
The foundation depends on the generosity of community “angels” to help relieve the financial burden for these families.
Other friends and family wishing to donate to Tori’s Angels in Bill’s memory may send donations to the foundation’s chairman, Bill Ridgley, at 4677 Panorama Dr., Panora IA 50216. Please indicate that the donation is in Bill’s memory, and an acknowledgement will be sent to his wife, Kay.
An online donation option is located on the Tori’s Angels Foundation website and on the Tori’s Angels Facebook page. Supporters can “Like” the Tori’s Angels Facebook page to receive regular updates on the children.
